The bedrooms are all of different shapes and sizes due to the style of the building. The majority of the rooms are of a medium size and are in a fair condition. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV, direct dial telephone and tea/ coffee facilities. Most have views over the racecourse. The restaurant is traditional in style and serves English food. Traditional townhouse building with parking available onsite. The lobby area is very small, but there is a medium sized area for guests to sit with a bar where tea and coffee are also served. Recently refurbished in a more modern style the bar area is perfectly for relaxing after a hard-day exploring York. A very good hotel which is located not far from the center of York, within walking distance to the city walls. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna and is ideal for the leisure traveller. Please note that all areas and rooms are now non-smoking within the hotel.
