This exclusive and newly renovated hotel is situated in the heart of the trendy Marais district, in the famous Rue des Archives. It is close to many shops, bars and restaurants as well as the Centre Pompidou. It´s very well served by public transport and close to many tourist sites by foot. Each one of the 6 floors has its own colour pattern, and each room its exclusivity. The rooms are small to medium in size and are all equiped with little bathrooms. The decor is stylish and all the rooms have wooden beams in the ceiling that give them this homely feeling. They are all equipped with all modern features (Cable TV, Modem Plugs, trouss press, air conditionning that can be modulated by the guests themselves, etc...) Some rooms enjoy a little balcony overlooking the typical roofs of Paris. The guests can enjoy a well-garnished buffet breakfast in this bright room, that benefits from a large glass dome surrounded by flowers and plants. The building is classified as an historical monument, as it once was the home of Jacques de Molay, chief of the order of Templar Knights. The lobby has been designed to give a very homely feeling. Every details has been studied to welcome the guests and it is as well decorated as it is comfortable. The entrance through large oak doors, leads the way into the medium size reception and sitting area, separated by large wooden beams. This lobby enjoys a colourful atmosphere.
A golden book at reception offers the possibility for the guests to write down their impressions of the place. This is a very good first class hotel that offers all the personalised services and exclusive clientele requires. The staff is very helpful and friendly. (06/02 LV)
