The hotel is conveniently located close to downtown Moscow, only 10 min drive from the Kremlin. It was built by Iosif Stalin“s order in 1952 as a Russian Empire style complex. Majority of rooms are very spacious, with high cealings and parket floors, decorated in traditional russian style.Most rooms have a rug,and are clean.
Bathrooms are tidy. Russia“s most famous restaurant "Yar" is located in the hotel, it is worldwide famous in cultural, and diplomaticv circles. It serves russian and european cuisine and has traditional shows in the evening.IT has three spacious halls decorated in grandeur style, it looks like a theatre inside.
The exterrior has been constructed in Russian Empire decor style and makes an elegant architectural entity . The lobby is very spacious, witha sweeping starecase and marble columns. It also has a very pleasant lobby bar. For many years hotel Sovietsly was the official hotel for the Soviet government and therefore it is well known among foreign dignitaries.
