All rooms have their own verandah or balcony with pleasant views of the hotel's gardens and surrounding forest. Rooms are en-suite with satellite TV, air-conditioning, safe, table and chairs, and tea & coffee making facilities. The rooms are a good size and have light blue furnsishings. There is an excellent restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant has lots of windows offering views of the garden and a high pitched roof and plenty of seating. There is a good menu offering a choice of international and local cuisine as well as a wide choice of South African wine. The hotel is split into two buildings. One is an apartment style 2 storey block and the other is a round rondavel style building painted white with a 'boma' style roof which is common in the area. A bright and welcoming reception desk greets the guests as you enter the lobby. There is a large water feature and a curio tourist shop too. A very good popular 4* hotel close to Kruger park. The Winkler has an outdoor swimming pool in a breathtaking setting surrounded by tall trees and forest, tennis court, a bar with a seperate lounge and meetig facilities.
