Denia is close to the airports of Alicante, Valencia and Murcia. It is an old port with ferry services to Ibiza and the Balearics. The hostal is in the centre of the old city, close to many good restaurants and shops. It is rumoured that there is a secret tunnel to the castle on the hill top behind the hostal. The hostal was formerly a nunnery and was built by the Marquis del Campo about 400 years ago. It is 600 metres from the beach and has 43 recently renovated rooms, all with air-conditioning, ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms with hairdryers. There are activities to suit everyone in and around Denia, including golf, sailing, scuba diving, kite surfing, jet skiing, mountain biking, and climbing. However some people come just to enjoy the 20 kilometres of beautiful beaches!
