This St. Albans hotel is a historically significant landmark building, built in 1911 by Samuel Ryder to house his successful seed company. Ryder is known as the donor of the prestigious Ryder Cup in golfing. Today, the hotel retains many Edwardian features, including a sweeping staircase and magnificent stained-glass window dome.
