The village is ideally placed for walking in the Cairngorm Mountains, a peaceful drive around the Castle Trail, or a visit to Lochnagar Distillery or the Whisky trail beyond. Ballater Golf Club is within easy distance and famous courses at Carnoustie and St. Andrews are only a scenic drive from here.Built of local granite in 1886, the house was named after a steamship by its Purser when he retired from the sea. There is a peaceful lounge and dining room overlook the front flower garden and lawn for guests to enjoy.
