Seehotel Schwalten is located directly at the lake, embedded in a green scenery with magnificent view of the Alpine mountain chain of Tannheim and the Allgaeu region. The area around the Swaltenweiher offers various leisure and water sport options at the lake.

The hotel premises are spaciously arranged and offer an own restaurant. The guest rooms are bright and comfortably furnished.

The hotel was built around 1910 and is located in a leisure resort, at the foot of Mount Schwaltenweiher in the Allgaeu region, near the town of Fuessen. From the terrace of the hotel is a magnificent view of the Alpine mountain range.

Our premises include a hotel-owned island with access via a bridge, boat rental, beach volleyball, football, barbecue facilities and direct access to the Schwaltenweiher hiking path. There are altogether 92 beds: 40 double rooms, one suite, 2 conference rooms and one multi-purpose room for your use.

Our second house, Seehaus, sits directly at the lakeside, just 10 metres from the water. It is predominantly used by groups.

All guest rooms are equipped with shower/bath tub, WC, and partly satellite TV. Most of the rooms feature an own balcony (facing south or west) with panorama views of the Alpine mountain chain.

Please note that all of our hotel rooms are non-smoking rooms.


The hotel-own restaurant offers a beautiful view of the mountain chain. On the menu our guest find local specialties from the Allgaeu region including fish and vegetarian dishes, salads and home-made steaks. A more varied choice of dishes is offered during our theme weeks in spring, fall and winter. The chef recommends typical Alsatian Tarte Flambée as special highlight.

The interior provides seats for altogether 110 people, the beer garden additionally hosts up to 250 people. The restaurant is well suitable for events of all kind, e.g. anniversaries, weddings, and business dinners.
