Opinion text: The original Bellevue Hotel lies at the very centre of the pedestrian zone, on the brink of Chowrasta, the central square of "upper" Darjeeling. The rooms are spacious, warm and clean, with modest furnishings, mainly wood and natural textiles. Attached bathrooms with shower are simple but supply of warm water is really unlimited. Rooms are equipped with wood stoves for the cold season. TV is available on request. There is an Internet Café at the ground floor covering almost the whole hotel with free WLAN. Owners and employees are amiable and extremely helpful.
