Aljezur, the closest town, is just 10 kilometers away. Located along the Ocean coast, straddling a beautiful river valley, this small coastal village with typical houses from the rural architecture of the Algarve, with their colorful borders painted around windows and along the edges of their whitewashed walls, is dominated by the ruins of a 10th century Moorish castle.
