Just outside Vevey, at the intersection of the Geneva-Berne-Valais motorways, the Modern Times Hotel invites visitors to discover the universe of Charlie Chaplin. Through this contemporary place, original films posters, private photos of the actor and film frames are displayed. The name of Modern Times imposed a careful use of construction material, of stone and wood, while the waters of the Pléiades source are distributed on each floor from a water dispenser.
Between lake and mountains, the Modern Times Hotel has 136 modern style rooms and junior suites with high quality bedding. It is a comfortable and welcoming place to relay and have a restful night for business or family trip.
The Times Bar is a central area of the hotel, with its colorful design lounge. The convivial atmosphere changes over the course of the day from a work into a meeting place.
The Times Grill restaurant proposing regional fresh products is open all year to the public. The locally produced dry-aged beef, a meat matured in refrigerated cabinets, is served with the menu's tasty delicacies accompanied by a selection of wines from the Lavaux or other regions. In between seasons and in summer, the splendid Mediterranean terrace on the edge of a biotope invites visitors to taste dishes carefully prepared by the kitchen brigade.
The six conference rooms on the ground floor, luminous and modular, can seat from 10 to 180 participants for events. All the rooms have direct access to the Mediterranean garden. The Modern Times Hotel is located some two kilometers from Chaplin's World by Grévin. The museum, opened in April 2016, invites visitors to discover this immense artist. The hotel is also near typical places of Riviera as Lavaux vineyards or les Pléiades mountains. The hotel will receive you for regional special events such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreux Christmas Market.
