Opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor apartment hotel-with half of its original 100 rooms permanent residences - the Dunhill Hotel is a thoughtful evolution. A full restoration and various on-going aesthetic improvements all share a common goal--to celebrate the original vision of its architect Mr. Louis Asbury with a nod to the needs of the modern traveler.
The Asbury restaurant celebrates the best of what the South has to offer. The Asbury is a tribute to Southern roots and the culturally diverse community of the New South. The Dunhill Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America - the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America - and is one of the first boutique establishments to be included. In addition to being one of the few remaining historic landmarks in Uptown it also has the largest collection of original works by North Carolina artist Philip Moose.
